Hooked on Books

Our Lady of Peace has collected over 40 boxes of books for Hooked on Books mission.    Troop 59 will deliver the books Wednesday February 17th.

Garage Sale Date Changes!

The date of the annual Troop 59 Garage Sale has been changed to June 6.

Drop off days will be Thursday, June 4 & Friday, June 5 from 6-8 p.m. The garage sale itself will be on Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Every Scout and a parent is required to work one drop off night and one shift of the garage sale on Saturday. Schedules will be distributed later this month.

Attention: Parents and Adults

You can download a Troop Resource Survey under the “downloads” tab on this website.  One survey should be filled out by each parent or adult affiliated with the troop.  These resource surveys let the troop know the abilities parents and adults have and the extent to which they would like to help out.  Please fill these out and give them to the Scoutmaster (Larry Daley) or Committee Chairperson (Michelle Ohmer) as soon as possible.

Don’t Miss the Red and White Dinner!

The annual Troop 59 Red and White Dinner will be held at the OLP cafeteria this year on Monday, March 9 promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Main entrees include chicken tenders and shredded beef; dinner rolls will be provided. All families of the troop are responsible for bringing something to contribute to the dinner, (see the invitation enclosed).

Following dinner, there will be a court of honor, Friends of Scouting program and a special presentation regarding the new Troop 59 Guidelines and Policies Manual. All current members of Troop 59 and their families should attend this very important … Continue Reading
