1. Meet 8:00 am. Saturday June 26th at OLP
2. Visit Pymatuming overflow and fish hatchery as well as the nature center
( you will want to bring old bread/rolls-loads of fun to watch the fish eat the bread)
3. Lunch- we will stop at McDonalds
4. 1pm arrive at Custaloga town scout camp.
5. 1-4pm participate in activities at Custaloga scout camp
6. 5pm- attend the opening of the Time Capsule (find out what was important to save years ago and see what will be added to save for the future)
7. Supper- stop at Hoss’s in Meadville
8. Arrive back at OLP around 8pm.
Plan to have an interesting as well as fun filled day.

We will need people to drive for this activity.

Meals and snack money needed- bring $15-$20 avg. per p

Adults\leaders coming and plan on staying the weekend and attending the concert also need to pay $35.00.

Each scout and adult also has to be accounted for and registered by end of June 14th meeting.

Break down is
$35.00 for the event, and
$15.00 for our camping and food charge.

Meeting wil be outside anmd/or in the social room below the rectory. We are moving stuff around now in the scout house and will pose challenges having a meeting in there.

A Bike or Hike event has been planned for the May 24th Scout Meeting. We will meet at Browns Farm (Asbury Woods) @ 6:30pm and ride or hike until 8:00pm. We are asking those scouts that have knowledge of biking through trails to bring your bike and participate in the bike portion, and those who are not, we want you to participate in the hiking portion of the event. If you are biking—HELMETS ARE REQUIRED—REGARDLESS OF AGE. Parents are welcome to bike or hike with us also.

2b.) Summer camp – Also, the last of the Summer Camp fee is due. The total cost per scout is $240.00 ($290.00 after May 8th). If you paid the required $25.00 deposit then the balance due is $215.00. If you made payments along the way, please be sure to deduct that amount also.

2c.) Environmental Merit badge at erie conservation district – $5.00 — we are splitting cost of program for those attending across 14 scouts.

Requesting presence of  Troop Quartermaster, and all the patrol quartermasters to pack our trailer for camp.

Also scouts needing the menu planning\purchasing rank requirements will serve as grub masters. They will meet to create menus and go shopping with two leaders.  Email will list those scouts who need to attend.

Going to meetings is important. You need to stay informed on the troop’s schedule and work on advancements; it’s a lot of fun, too. Recently, we played a game of capture-the-flag with all the lights turned off, and we had a pie feast at the meeting after the Thanksgiving campout. Just come to the meetings, and we can get the work done and move on to other things.

If you have sports or other important obligations, call your patrol leader and let them know that you won’t be attending. The Scribe takes attendance at every meeting now and it is important that you be on time. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m.; be there before then, not after.

Boy Scouts is a serious organization about advancements, skills, leadership, and fun! I hope you continue to attend meetings, campouts and other events, and that you keep traveling on the Trail to Eagle.
