Troop 59

Those not going backpacking…

1. Meet 8:00 am. Saturday June 26th at OLP
2. Visit Pymatuming overflow and fish hatchery as well as the nature center
( you will want to bring old bread/rolls-loads of fun to watch the fish eat the bread)
3. Lunch- we will stop at McDonalds
4. 1pm arrive at Custaloga town scout camp.
5. 1-4pm participate in activities at Custaloga scout camp
6. 5pm- attend the opening of the Time Capsule (find out what was important to save years ago and see what will be added to save for the future)
7. Supper- stop at Hoss’s in Meadville

Please bring a check for $50.00 for each scout attending Campaganza camping in September 24,25,26. Make check out to Troop 59.

Adults\leaders coming and plan on staying the weekend and attending the concert also need to pay $35.00.

Each scout and adult also has to be accounted for and registered by end of June 14th meeting.

Break down is
$35.00 for the event, and
$15.00 for our camping and food charge.

We are having a flag retirement ceremony. Since we have established the summer uniform (class B) the ceremony can be conducted in our summer uniform.

Meeting wil be outside anmd/or in the social room below the rectory. We are moving stuff around now in the scout house and will pose challenges having a meeting in there.

We will be entering summer session at this meeting.
Scouts are now permitted to show up at meetings in their

class B uniform

t-shirts.

We will need to do some weeding around scout building, the down tree next to the house will need to be cut up for OLP bonfire!

Dear Scout Families,

A Bike or Hike event has been planned for the May 24th Scout Meeting. We will meet at Browns Farm (Asbury Woods) @ 6:30pm and ride or hike until 8:00pm. We are asking those scouts that have knowledge of biking through trails to bring your bike and participate in the bike portion, and those who are not, we want you to participate in the hiking portion of the event. If you are biking—HELMETS ARE REQUIRED—REGARDLESS OF AGE. Parents are welcome to bike or hike with us also.
